Au revoir 2010... Hola 2011...

Yes... The title says it all... Curtains down for 2010 as we welcome the new year, 2011...

Pheww... To be honest... I was actually begging for this year to come to an end... It's been one of the roughest years I've had and I was looking forward to this new year... No complaints... What is past, is better left to past... The only way to go is forward...

What lies ahead for me... Well... I have no idea... But I do have my own plans... And that is... Not for you to know... Hahaha... Anyway... Whatever is in store for me, whatever God has in store for me in this new year... I will face and deal with it in my own ascertain ways...

I'm totally bored... In fact, I don't know why I'm posting this today... Another fact is... 2011 is not the year I'm anxiously waiting for... I'm more interested in 2012... But that is better left for later... Happy new year Peeps...

Kick : Point man obviously doesn't have any idea what he's doing... Other than waiting for the countdown to the new year... I don't what I'm gonna do... Just go with the flow I guess... Hahaha...

Gulliver's Travels...

Assalamualaikum everyone... Okay... Like the title says and like the poster above, this entry is about the movie, Gulliver's Travels starring Jack Black. And yes, this is indeed a movie review... Don't worry, no spoilers here... I'll try and keep details to a minimum... Heee...

Okay, today, 24th December 2010... I went to watch Gulliver's Travels in eye-popping 3-D courtesy of Golden Screen Cinemas ( After paying RM17 for the ticket of course ). So, this is my 1st time wearing a pair of 3-D glasses (Dolby) to watch a movie... It was a whole new experience for me... Even tried to compare what happens if I don't watch the movie wearing 3-D glasses... Its all a blur to me... Seriously...

Allright, enough of the experience... Now, on to the movie review... As I stated before, the movie starred Jack Black... Seeing Jack Black is what made me want to watch this movie... Because I know it's going to be hilarious... To be honest, it didn't disappoint much... Although I was expecting much more laughter to come out from this... Well, the movie was quite nice... And I have to say Jack Black is really what made the movie watchable... Without him I don't know... Although, I still think the writers of this film should have utilized the talents of Jack Black to the fullest... We all know that Jack Black is a funny guy... And he didn't disappoint... The rest of the cast was okay without being excellent nor being a failure...

The plot was good though... With good character development and also filled with some good scenes if not excellent...  The 3-D experience of this movie... Hurmmm... Well, I have to say its not worth it to watch it in 3-D... With only a few scenes that really characterize the meaning of 3-D... Its better to watch it on normal screens... Save the money too... Even the advertisement before the beginning of the film was better in  3-D  than the movie itself featuring Scrat from Ice Age... 

So, overall... This movie is a nice family movie... So, for those who wants to have some light-hearted type of movie without twisting plots... Then, I recommend it... For die hard Jack Black fans, this movie is also a must see... Because its been a while since we see Jack Black starred in a movie... He was good, really... And I don't recommend watching it in 3-D, as it doesn't utilize the 3-D engine to full effect... Better watch Tron for 3D... Anyway, in light of 2 blockbusters we've had ( Harry Potter and Narnia )... This movie is a fresh break from it... Good movie for the Christmas period... I give it a 3 1/2 star rating for it... 

Kick : Okay, this is the Point Man's first time typing a movie review... So, don't be discouraged by it.. If you want to watch it, just go... It is a good movie... Heee... Owh, and not forgetting... In the spirit of 1 Malaysia and World Peace, the Point Man wishes you all a merry christmas... Let's see if I can spot Santa Claus tonight... Hahaha... Good night peeps... 

Bile Lelaki Bershopping...

Haaa... Itulah dia... Selalunya kaum lelaki ni tak banyak kerenah bila masuk bab shopping2x nih... Sebab??? Kami ni simple orangnye.. Haha.. Benarkah? Ataupun malas nak fikir banyak2x bila bab shopping nih? Hurmmm... Entahlah... Aku pun tak tahu kenapa sebenarnya walaupun aku ni pun daripada kaum lelaki jugak... Haha...

You peeps percaya tak kalau aku cakap yang aku ni sebenarnya, bila pergi shopping, memang akan jadi hantu??? Hahaha... Seriously, memang itulah aku sebenarnya... Aku pun tak tahu dari mana datangnye perangai ni... Sebab my parents conservative orangnye... Anyway, mula start perangai ni waktu lepas SPM... Itu yang berjaya aku detect... Sebab musababnya... Aku tak pasti.. Haishh... Kesian parents aku or siape2x yang bernasib malang kena teman aku kalo pergi shopping... Mana taknye ambik masa separuh hari... Haishh...

So, ape yang aku buat untuk membendung masalah ni.?? Jawapannya... Tak buat ape2x pun.. The truth is I kind of enjoy shopping... Bukannya selalu pun pegi shopping... Setahun adalah berapa kali je... So, what I'm saying is... I did learn something... Because I learn from the experience itself...

So, here are the things that I learned from my experiences... Kalau nak panggil ni tips pun boleh jugak... Huhu... Here goes...

1) Know your target :- Means, set target dulu sebelum pergi shopping... Nak beli apa? Jenis apa? So, takdalah pergi merayau satu mall cari sampai spend masa lama kat situ..

2) Don't spend it all at one place :- Yes... Memang lelaki ini simple... Tapi janganlah simple sangat sampai beli baju semua kat satu tempat.. Variety sikit... Shopping di beberapa kedai or different brands... Different brands, different patterns and styles...

3) All clothes are not the same :- Okay.. Maksudnya kat sini... Kalau berkenan kat satu item tu... Janganlah beli sampai 2-3 helai without trying it on... Sebab? Tak semuanya sama fit or kualitinya.. So, try la dulu satu2x... Walaupun item tu sama...

4) Wear suitable clothes :- Okay, pakai baju simple2x bila nak bershopping... Senang nak tukar2x baju bila nak fitting kat fitting room tu... Tapi janganlah pakai baju simple habis sampai tak senonoh perginya... Tahulah badanku sasa dan tegap... Tapi tak perlu nak tunjuk kat orang.. Huhu..

5) Don't just match the clothes from the hangar. Try it on for God's sakes... Bukannya kena bayar pun kalau try on... Nanti kang menyesal lak kalau main ambik je...

6) Set budget.. Ini penting... Belanja biarlah berpada2x... Based on kemampuan kita... Setkan berapa yang kita nak spend untuk shopping... So, takdelah over spend kat benda tak sepatutnye... E.g. Terbeli baju branded sedangkan nak beli benda lain lagi... So, pandai2xlah...

7) Bring someone along. Ini penting untuk mintak pendapat orang lain... Lagi bagus kalau ajak perempuan sekali... Sebab diowang ni pandai memilih and tahu apa yang kena untuk kita... Hee... In other words, ajaklah gf skali bila shopping... Heee..

So, itulah dia sedikit sebanyak apa yang aku dapat daripada pengalaman aku bershopping and tips2x yang agak berguna... Boleh sebenarnya kalau lelaki nak bershopping... Jangan stereotype sangat shopping nih untuk girls only... Nope... Tak hilang punya kejantanan tu kalau bershopping... Kita hidup kat dunia moden sekarang nih... Jangan fikiran tu kolot sangat... Open your mind... And jangan lupa batas2x agama jugak... Sekian... Wasalam...

Kick : Point man dah berjaya kurangkan masa bershopping dari masa separuh hari kepada 3-4 jam sahaja... Boleh?? Haha... Itu dah paling optimum dah tu... And buat masa ni... Agak berpuas hati dengan purchases yang dibuat... Tak kirelah baju ke, kasut ke, aksesori ke, ape2x je la pun... Hee... Happy shopping for the holiday season!!!
